A Notary Public is an attorney that has undergone the additional qualification of studying, writing the Notarial exam and being admitted by the High Court of South Africa to practice as a Notary. Not all attorneys are notaries but all notaries are attorneys.
A Notary is legally empowered to witness signatures and certify documents for use overseas. In order for a document to be legalized for use overseas it has to be notarised - a commissioner of oaths stamp will not suffice. In South Africa certain institutions like the HPSCA and universities may require your documents to be notarised
A Notary Public is a legally recognized individual who witnesses signatures on documents, verifies the identity of signers, and ensures that the documents are executed correctly. They play a vital role in preventing fraud and ensuring the integrity of important documents.
A Notary Public can notarize various documents, including contracts, deeds, power of attorney documents, affidavits, and more. At Anusha Jedidiah Attorneys, we specialize in notarizing a wide range of legal documents.
It is advisable to make an appointment for notarization to ensure that our Notary Public is available. You can contact us at (0)31 4647073 to schedule a time that is convenient for you.
If you are unable to visit our office, certain documents may be couriered to us. Please contact us for more details about this service.
To prepare for a notarization, bring the document you need notarized along with valid identification in the form of a South African Identity document or Passport. Foreign identity cards and drivers licenses are not acceptable. Ensure that you do not sign the document until you are in the presence of the Notary Public.
Apostille and Legalisation certificates are to authenticate documents for international use, ensuring that they are recognized by foreign governments. Our firm provides this service to meet your international document needs and the certificate used will depend on which country it will be used in.
At Anusha Jedidiah Attorneys, we are here to assist you with all your notarization needs. Whether you have questions or need to schedule a service, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are ready to help!
